FAQ

Which file formats will you provide a logo design in?

I will supply your logo in vector format in addition to image files, in the following formats: .ai & .eps (Adobe Illustrator) .jpg. .gif & tif (standard image formats). EPS (Encapsulated Postscript File) is an industry standard for vector graphics meaning you will be able to re-produce your logo with complete precision, no matter what size it is scaled to. JPG, GIF & TIF images files will be supplied in lo-res and hi-res versions, suitable for web use and some printing applications.

Why do I need a vector logo? Can’t I just use a JPEG image?

Vector graphics are essential for logo design. Since the graphic is made from a series of mathematical curves it will print very crisp even when resized. For instance one can take the same vector logo and print it on a business card, and then enlarge it to billboard size and keep the same crisp quality. A low-resolution raster graphic would blur incredibly if it were enlarged from business card size to billboard size. I offer a vector conversion service if you already have a logo in a raster graphic format, such as JPEG (please contact me for more details).
